Czech Republic: Farsoon’s Additive Manufacturing technology to support digital transformation in new research center
Brain4Industry Centre aims to position itself as a technology incubator in the region using additive manufacturing.
Czech Republic hosts an innovation center that will bring together scientific research, design, and industrial manufacturing under one roof. Named Brain4Industry Innovation Center, the new center is led by FZU -Institute of Physics of the Czech Academy of Sciences and will aim to help SMEs integrate advanced manufacturing and AI.
This means that the technology center will provide a set of services that range from product design, topology optimization, mathematical simulations to additive manufacturing. AM services throughout the entire product iteration come along with associated trainings in selected technologies.
At the heart of its production portfolio, one counts a number of Farsoon metal and plastic laser powder bed fusion systems, the FS301M-2and FLIGHT@ ST252P machines in particular.
“The interest of the private sector in cooperation with scientists from the Institute of Physics is steadily growing, which has already led to a number of interesting results. Industrial cooperation gives a new dimension to the work of our scientists, with our research immediately serving the public interest. I am glad that the Brain4Industry Innovation Centre will significantly develop this line and help Czech companies to become more competitive and will thus support the entire Czech economy,” said Michael Prouza, Director of the Institute of Physics of the Czech Academy of Sciences.
“The scientists of the Czech Academy of Sciences frequently cooperate with the private sector, we have about 400 joint projects and direct contracts between institutes of the Czech Academy of Sciences and Czech companies. I am glad that the imaginary doorsof further cooperation are opening with this newly established innovation centre,” says the President of the Czech Academy of Sciences, Eva Zažímalová, emphasizing that this cooperation is mutually beneficial.
As a technology partner, Farsoon Europe is proud to contribute to the Brain4Industry project and to demonstrate that AM as an innovative manufacturing method can help push a wider range of end-use applications in Czech Public.
