Brain4Industry in 2025: Applied Research and Development with Real Market Impact
In 2025, Brain4Industry confirmed that the path we have chosen of connecting research and development with real market needs delivers genuine value for Czech companies. We continued to expand services supporting innovation and new product development, digitalisation and AI-based technologies, as well as education and skills development within companies.
During the year, we delivered services worth approximately CZK 30 million to more than 130 Czech companies. At the same time, we concluded the first phase of the European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH) project. Building on the success of the EDIH programme, newly secured European funding under EDIH 2 has been awarded for a further three-year period, which began in January 2026.
Companies most often demanded comprehensive R&D solutions, including the development of functional prototypes and the production of serial components using innovative manufacturing technologies. This further confirmed the trend that businesses are seeking specific technological solutions with direct practical application and a clear impact on revenue growth or operating cost optimisation. An important step forward was also the signing of several framework agreements with Czech companies, demonstrating strong interest in long-term collaboration.
“Our ambition is not to generate innovation for its own sake, but to systematically manage the R&D process so that its outputs are directly applicable to the everyday operations of companies and deliver a measurable impact on their economic performance. The results of the past period clearly show that Czech companies have genuine interest in these solutions, are able to integrate them quickly into their processes, and effectively leverage them to achieve higher productivity, cost savings, and long-term competitive advantage,” says Andrej Chrzanowski, Director of Brain4Industry.
Andrej Chrzanowski also highlights that Brain4Industry serves as an end-to-end partner, offering companies comprehensive support throughout the entire innovation and development cycle, from shaping the business brief to implementing a functional product or technology, all with clearly defined economic benefits and measurable return on investment.
Practical benefits for Czech companies
A number of technologically advanced projects were delivered throughout the year, including collaborations with companies such as Adela Dental Care, the cycling equipment manufacturer Posedla, the implementation of AI solutions for the architectural studio MS Architekti, as well as a project for the National Institute of Mental Health, demonstrating the value of Brain4Industry for research institutions as well.
Together with Adela Dental Care, we developed the concept of an individualised toothbrush, ranging from initial testing of fine biocompatible bristles to an algorithm that generates a fully customised toothbrush based on a dental scan. The project is now progressing to the prototype testing phase in real-world conditions.
For Posedla, a fully functional prototype of cycling grips was created, featuring an advanced internal gyroid structure and a parametrically controlled texture that enhances damping, durability, and grip ergonomics. Development continues in close cooperation with professional cyclists.
For the National Institute of Mental Health, experts from Brain4Industry helped reproduce a specialised cooling cutting platform for the preparation of ultra-thin brain sections a device that was not commercially available. Through precise modelling, close consultation with the client’s team, and additive manufacturing, a robust and fully functional replica was created, enabling the uninterrupted continuation of research.
Brain4Industry was also active in delivering customised AI solutions. For the architectural studio MS Architekti, our team of AI experts developed an AI assistant that consolidated a large and fragmented project archive into a single intelligent system. Within seconds, it can identify similar projects, display technical details, and continuously learn from user feedback. Significantly accelerating workflows and improving decision-making accuracy.
Over the past year, Brain4Industry helped bring science and industry closer together. With a strong team, modern technologies, and deep expertise, we continue to build lasting partnerships with Czech companies and support their long-term competitiveness.
