He has been working at the HiLASE centre for over ten years and has been instrumental in the development of several technologies with an emphasis on collaboration with manufacturing companies. His main area of expertise is laser technology and its applications, which he has the opportunity to develop within the HiLASE Centre’s Industrial Laser Applications Department, which he heads. Every day he is involved in the transfer of scientific know-how to increase the competitiveness of companies and has a significant contribution to HiLASE’s successful cooperation with a number of Czech and foreign companies. However, he is still partly active in the academic sphere as a member of project teams and the leader of diploma and bachelor theses at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Czech Technical University in Prague.
