No off-the-shelf solution existed for this application, making it necessary to design an entirely new technical solution precisely tailored to the specific requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At Brain4Industry, we were involved in the project from the initial design through to the final manufacturing of the component. The goal was to create a&nbsp;technically optimized part that meets strict requirements for low weight, sufficient strength, and load-bearing capacity, while also ensuring maximum efficiency in material usage and production costs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Topology Optimization<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Although the assignment appeared straightforward at first glance, it was technologically highly complex. It was essential to minimize the component\u2019s weight without compromising mechanical resistance or functionality. <a href=\"https:\/\/brain4industry.cz\/en\/services\/am-research-and-product-development-manufacturing-systems\/topological-optimization\/\">Topology optimization<\/a> therefore played a\u00a0key role, enabling detailed load analysis and identification of areas subjected to the highest mechanical stress. Based on simulation results, a\u00a0design was created in which material is used only where it has real functional significance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">SLM Technology<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The component itself was manufactured using SLM&nbsp;(Selective Laser Melting) technology from aluminum. <a href=\"https:\/\/brain4industry.cz\/en\/services\/am-research-and-product-development-manufacturing-systems\/metal-3d-printing\/\">Metal 3D printing<\/a> made it possible to produce a&nbsp;lightweight, strength-optimized part with complex geometry that would be impossible to manufacture efficiently using conventional methods. The result is a&nbsp;structure precisely tailored to its purpose, free of unnecessary material and design compromises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Benefits of the Final Solution<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The component itself was manufactured using SLM\u00a0(Selective Laser Melting) technology from aluminum. <a href=\"https:\/\/brain4industry.cz\/en\/services\/am-research-and-product-development-manufacturing-systems\/metal-3d-printing\/\">Metal 3D printing<\/a> made it possible to produce a\u00a0lightweight, strength-optimized part with complex geometry that would be impossible to manufacture efficiently using conventional methods.
