Tomáš Jetmar is the general manager of NCC for MATCA, an academic-industrial cooperation project focused on the development and application of advanced technologies – especially additive, plasma and laser technologies. After studying at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at CTU and further studies at Stanford University, he started to work in the field of advanced manufacturing technologies with a focus on additive manufacturing. First at Česká zbrojovka, then he moved to the Academy of Sciences, where he mediates knowledge and technology transfer between the scientific sphere and the private sector. Here, in addition to additive manufacturing itself, he also focuses on the development of new advanced materials that enable better quality printing tailored to the customer’s needs.
